Don’t Talk While Eating
For Christmas 2021, Regina’s grandmother and Aunt Paty agreed to bring her the gifts she had bought for the girl, because she would not be able to visit her that year.
On December 21, Aunt Paty arrived at Regina’s grandmother’s house, where she rested and slept for the next day, to go very early to the place where her niece lived. That day, Aunt Paty loaded the car with gifts for the girl. Regina was already looking forward to it.
After long hours of travel, Aunt Paty arrived at Regina’s house. The girl and her mother came out to meet her.
Regina, whenever she saw her Aunt Paty, always behaved very politely and with great respect towards her, calling her “Aunt Paty”.
Thus, the day that Aunt Paty arrived, Regina and her mother welcomed her very happily. The little girl was always very excited when she saw her aunt arrive, she jumped and said: ”Aunt Paty!”, ”Aunt Paty!”, ”Aunt Paty!”, very excited, because she also knew that the Aunt Paty brought her gifts on behalf of her grandmother.
After unloading the gifts from the car and greeting everyone, the family and Aunt Paty started eating. When they were eating, Aunt Paty’s phone rang; It was Regina’s grandmother. At that moment, Aunt Paty answered the call, but she was still eating and talking to Regina’s grandmother. The rest of the people were quiet.
Suddenly, the naughty Regina said to her aunt Paty: ”Aunt Paty, put down that phone, because you’re eating”. Aunt Paty had no choice, but to hang up the phone to Regina’s grandmother, very quietly she obeyed. They all burst out laughing at Regina’s idea of asking Aunt Paty to eat first and then take the call.
Perhaps, for Regina, eating was the first thing, or she would think: “If you’ve already washed your hands, now you are going to get them dirty holding the phone.” Perhaps, she would also remember what her mother told her that when she ate: ”Don’t talk when you eat, because you can choke”… Well, the reach of the cunning girl, maybe it was an intelligent admonition. Regina was on top of everything.

No Hables Comiendo
Para la Navidad del 2021, la abuela de Regina y la tía Paty se pusieron de acuerdo para que le llevara los regalos que le había comprado a la niña, porque ella no podría ir ese año a visitarla.
El día 21 de diciembre llegó la tía Paty a la casa de la abuela de Regina, en donde descansó y durmió para el otro día muy temprano partir al lugar en donde vivía su sobrina. Ese día, la tía Paty iba cargada de regalos para la niña. Y Regina ya la estaba esperando con ansias.
Después de largas horas de viaje, llegó la tía Paty a casa de Regina. La niña y su mamá salieron a su encuentro.
Regina, cada vez que veía a su tía Paty, siempre se portaba muy educada y con mucho respeto hacia ella, llamándola ”Tía Paty”.
Así, ese día que llegó la tía Paty, Regina y su mamá la recibieron muy contentas. La pequeña, se mostraba muy entusiasmada al mirar a su tía llegar, saltaba y decía: ”Tía Paty!”, ”Tía Paty!”, ”Tía Paty!”, muy emocionada, pues también sabía que la tía Paty le llevaba los regalos por encargo de la abuela.
Después de bajar los regalos del automóvil y saludar a todos, la familia y la tía Paty se pusieron a comer. Cuando estaban comiendo, sonó el teléfono de la tía Paty; era la abuela de Regina. En ese momento, la tía Paty contestó la llamada, pero seguía comiendo y hablando con la abuela de Regina. El resto de las personas se encontraban calladas. De repente, la traviesa Regina, le dijo a su tía Paty: ”Tía Paty, deja ese teléfono, porque estás comiendo”. Y la tía Paty no tuvo más remedio que colgar el teléfono a la abuela de Regina, muy calladita obedeció. Todos se soltaron riendo por la ocurrencia de Regina, de pedir a la tía Paty que comiera primero y que después tomara la llamada.
Tal vez, para-Regina comer era lo primero, o pensaría: ”Si ya te lavaste las manos, cómo las vas a ensuciar agarrando el teléfono”. Quizás, también recordaría lo que su madre le decía cuando comía: ”No hables cuando comas, porque te puedes ahogar”… Bueno, el alcance de la astuta niña, a lo mejor fue una amonestación inteligente. Regina estaba al tanto de todo.
