Nobody Answered Me

Ana María was a very intelligent girl; she was 2 years old. One day, while playing with her toys at home, she found a phone. She took it in her hands, as well as some retro 60’s model purple sunglasses, which she then put on. And then, according to her, she started talking on the phone.

The girl said: ”Mom, hello! Nana, hello! Dad, hello! Samy, hello! Regi, hello!”. At that moment, her mother heard her trying to communicate with her family; but Ana María had no response from anyone.

Then, she asked her: “Doesn’t anyone answer you?” At that very moment, the little girl turned to look at her mother, saying: Noooo!, and opening her arms, at the same time, repeated: ”Noooo!”.

Immediately, her mother asked her again: ”Didn’t they answer you?”. And the girl, again, said: Noooo!, but this time, the cunning little girl, taking off her purple glasses when answering, and later putting the glasses back on with the gesture of concern.

Ana Maria’s mother burst out laughing when she saw the reaction of the precocious girl.

Nadie Me Contestó

Ana María era una niña muy inteligente; ella tenía 2 años de edad. Un día, jugando en su casa con sus juguetes, se encontró un teléfono. Lo tomó en sus manos, al igual que unos lentes de color morado de modelo retro de los años 60’s, que después se los puso. Y luego, según ella, empezó a hablar por teléfono.

La niña, decía: ”¡Mamá, buenoooo! ¡Nana, buenoooo! ¡Papá, buenoooo! ¡Samy, buenoooo! ¡Regi, buenoooo!”. En ese instante, su madre la escuchó que estaba tratando de comunicarse con su familia; pero Ana María no tuvo contestación por parte de nadie.

Entonces, ella le preguntó: ”¿No te contesta nadie?”. En ese mismo momento, la pequeña volteó a ver a su madre, diciendo: ¡Noooo!, y abriendo sus brazos, al mismo tiempo, repitió: ”¡Noooo!”.

De inmediato, su mamá le volvió a preguntar: ”¿No te contestaron?”. Y la niña, de nuevo, dijo: ¡Noooo!, pero esta vez, la astuta pequeña, se quitó los anteojos morados al contestar, y luego se los volvió a poner con un gesto de preocupación.

La madre de Ana María se soltó riendo al mirar la reacción de la precoz niña.
